How to use essential oils for anxiety, stress and depression
Now let’s see what methods to use to get the best results from the consumption of the 5 essential oils for depression.
By inhalation
A few drops poured on the pillow allow us to directly inhale the essence throughout the night. Or again, pour 1-2 drops of essential oils on the palms of your hands, rub them together and, bringing them close to your nose, inhale deeply 4-5 times.
By diffusion
A few drops introduced into the diffuser ensure a homogeneous distribution of the aromatic molecules in the environment for many hours, both day and night.
With a relaxing bath
5-10 drops of essence poured into the bathtub are sufficient for a relaxing and invigorating experience. Essential oils should be poured into the bathtub when filling is complete and mixed by hand, and not during filling, to avoid excessive evaporation.
In the case of delicate skin, before pouring the drops into the water, dilute them beforehand with a tablespoon of carrier oil such as avocado, coconut or almond oil.
With local friction
A mixture of 5-10 drops of essential oil and 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil is suitable for local rubbing on the chest, neck, wrists, soles of the feet and temples.
With massage
We prepare a mixture of 5-10 drops of essence and 50 grams of carrier oil (e.g. sweet almond or jojoba). Once the substances are well dissolved, the solution is ready to be used for a gentle body massage.
Scented envelope
If instead we want to carry with us a solution of essential oils for anxiety and stress always ready to inhale, we soak a cotton ball with 2-4 drops of essence and close it in a resealable bag, or use a small bottle with airtight closure. We will always have our anti-stress remedy at hand.
At home and in the car
We can also enjoy the beneficial effects of our favorite essential oils by putting a few drops on a ball of cloth or cotton to place inside our car, in the dryer to obtain clean and perfumed cloths or in the vacuum cleaner to spread the perfumed molecules even during house cleaning operations.
